Highlights of the Study Introduction

You will find the Study Introduction on pages 26-29 of our "Just as He Promised" book. Sometimes we are tempted to skip the introduction and jump right to the start of a book. Understandable. But I hope you will have the time to read through this section. It is a helpful orientation guide as we gear up for the start our Advent study. Here are a few highlights:

• The purpose of this The Daily Grace Co. study is stated in the first paragraph on page 26 and in the first paragraph on page 29. Read their goals for this study. Is that your aim as well? Turn their words into your own prayer and see how God answers over the next few weeks.

• The last paragraph on page 26 deals with the issue of digging deeper than the basic facts of the Christmas story. I hope you see how important it is to slow down and take in more of the details. Yes, God's glorious plan has layers.

• Be sure to read the "Before You Begin" section. Planning and accountability. Hugely important. If you are choosing to follow this study and struggling to stick to it, please let me know. Or grab another sister in Christ to share with. Let's help each other as we journey onward toward heaven this Advent season. 

• See the "How to Use This Study" section for the last practical instructions before we begin. The calendar on pages 32-33 is a perfect visual. Whether you actually use physical Advent candles or not, it's good to get a better understanding of the history and tradition on pages 36-37.  

We will kick off in just 2 days-- so exciting!
